There is only one Division 1-A school in Brooklyn- LIU- which had a great histroy in the early 1900's, but not much since 1960. No NBA players have come from LIU. However, St. John's, Manhattan, and Fordham have had a few players go on to the NBA, so there are options within New York City if you want to stay close.
