iam 14 and i live in the UK. iam around 6 ft and i normally play small forward but for my club iam being asked to play centre.has anyone got any tips as i dont normally play centre? and iam thinking seriously about playing basketball in acollegebut i dont know how to get their? how do i get into acollegein the states and how good do you realy need to be ?

well u r in a pretty good situation. the reason the coach moved u to center might be to take advantage of your strength and athleticism over other players. if you have a good coach he may have moved another player more suited to play the small forward role. but being in the center position you will be able to use those skills as a small forward. against bigger strong players in the low post area u can use your quickness and agility to out rebound them, so work on your leaping ability and footwork. against smaller post players u will be able to use a lot of strength. so work on condtioning and endurance. build up leg and arm muscle.

dont look as it as a bad thing. but as a chance to improve versatility and a chance to show your coach you are great team player.
